I would be shocked if Yakuza 3 sell less than 100K first week.

This game turns out better than what people expect and a lot of gamers jump on board after it got released. It's currently on backorder at Amazon.com Japan. When was the last time you see a PS3 game sold out at Amazon Japan?

Yakuza 3 should also show some legs too. The game is like a Japanese version of GTA.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

Last I saw, it was sold out on Amazon Japan...I know Amazon's not a great indicator, but it's still better than nothing. It at least shows there is some demand. Edit: lol, u beat me to it Wenlan!!!

I'm going to go with flop, Sega hasn't found much success in Japan this generation.

At the most I expect it to end up stuck at the 200-300k range like all the other "massive sellers" before it.

it should be able to do over 100k first day, maybe even over 200k (new record for PS3 games) - the franchise is well known and loved and the new setting is superb, so I think this game potentially could sell more than minna no golf 5

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
