Forums - Sony - So.. DmC definitive edition.....

Lmao, yup!

Though I do think that this game is decent enough. The main problem I had with the console versions was the damn framerate, 60fps should be a must for these games!

No... The main problem was that it bastardized the complex combat system of the DMC series. 60fps can never fix the combat system in that game.

But the artstyle required high res textures and nice particule effects to show its full potential, the game wouldn't have looked half as good if they valued 60fps over everything else.

The game doesn't even look good, though. DMC4 still looks better and it released at 60fps years earlier.

It's about tastes but i think directing was much more inspired in DMC than DMC4

Message in the walls with internal lights and stuff looked neat too.

lol so nintendo is now suddenly the victim of unwarranted hate after their fans have been hopping into every tlou remastered thread, for example(and this obviously is not the only case), to berate sony for being so greedy as to rob their fans of their hard earned money

all while nintendo has also been releasing games like wind waker hd and majora's mask and no no one was hating on nintendo for this because obviously to any sensible person it is only a problem when there is a lack of new games to play... which is more of a problem for nintendo's platform ironically

the thing i find most amusing though is that if we look at the actual games lists the ps4 and xbox have by leaps and bounds more new games per year than the wii u could hope to have and yet we are still getting threads like this one

it amazes me lol

If you said had leaps and bounds more ports and remasters then I'd agree. But I'll leave at that, for this particular topic though. Don't want to turn into a huge fight over ports and remasters. I've said my piece xD

you guys have it :O

lol you know what games i'm getting this year?

well obviously you don't so i'll enlighten you : mortal kombat, metal gear solid 5, the tomorrow children, uncharted 4, the division, final fantasy 15

and that is just a small portion of a much much larger list of games that i can afford to pick and choose from... so tell me how many of those are ports or remasters?

with regards to the wii u you pretty much have to get zelda, starfox, mario, splatoon and xenoblade this year because the selection is extremely thin outside of those games and i hate to think of what it'll be like next year

I don't see a problem with it. If someone doesn't want it don't buy it and those want to will buy it. The only reason companies are remastering/porting games is because people keep buying them.

Well you can buy Wii games on WiiU too , like ps4 and One owners are doing since their release, because you know:

Backwards compatibility = No need of last gen remakes, and no 60$ for playing the same game.

And now we can buy many of them at 9.99$ fw

How can you not agree with the bolded part? :p It's a fact. Regardless to your opinion of the games themselves, the PS4 and X1 have several times more new titles releasing this year than the WiiU. Even if you exclude remasters and the like (though they make up a minority of releases on the whole). Shouldn't be surprising either. They do both have full 3rd party support ^^;

nothing to be defensive about honestly unless the meaning of defensive has changed to mean correcting incorrect assertions

nice gif btw, but personally i would have gone with this one... i think its a bit more appropriate for the message you were trying to convey even though you were wrong

"Well you can buy Wii games on WiiU too "

oh the irony lol but moving on "Backwards compatibility = No need of last gen remakes"

well as i just said i don't have a need for ports or remakes i bought my ps4 to play surpirse surprise ps4 games which are rapidly becoming more and more numerous as times marches on

i'll admit that i bought gta 5 again but that is because i wished to continue playing the online portion of the game because i find it to be very fun and aside from tlou which i got free with my ps4 that's it for ports or remakes for me
