Everybody is going to hate uncharted, considering the hate against cutscenes how did you guys even survive TLOU. Cinematics can be great for example in TLOU a game full of cinematics they didn't bother me a single second, neither did they in God of war.
Ugly none interesting cutscenes do bother me though like in bayonetta 2 they where not interesting the comic book style was awful. So what matters is quality and Western games pretty much outperforms Japanese games in that area a few examples of course, but looking at 2015.
Western Uncharted, The Order, Ratchet and Clank, The Witcher 3, Batman, Halo, Quantum Break, Forza and the yearly titles.
Eastern Bloodborne, Zelda, New Pokemon game, Street fighter, exclusive Sony game from Capcom, MGS.
I will choose quite a few of the Western games. While I only buy Zelda, MGS and Bloodborne counting as Eastern games.
