personally i thought that the single player game play was a bit boring. i personally liked cod2 more.because when i play games the main reasons i play them is the gameplay and story line. and i kinda like to play with older guns.

Wow. PS3 version has done well versus 360 version, given install bases.

You're right in that you're addicted to it. Every time I sign on Steam you're either playing it or a little alert flashes up within 5 minutes saying "Naznatips is now playing Call of Duty 4."

agreed, COD2 by far is the best one in COD series.
But still COD4 is a great game... or maybe it's just graphics (they are awesome).

It will still have to out sell half-life and Goldeneye 007.

Bravo Infinity Ward. I hadn't been taken by a CoD game since the original but 4 did it for me. I love it a lot! I can't imagine how much I would be playing it if I had for the PC. (I got it as a birthday present from a friend for the 360, I didn't feel the need to have to versions of the same game)

NPD reported over 300K alone. That doesn't include Europe or Steam. Like I said it's tracked in the top 10 on Steam since its release, so I would assume it's sold at least another 400K on steam, and probably broken 1 million overall worldwide on PC sales.

While highest sales don't mean the best. I would have to say COD4 is the second best online FPS. #1 will always be Counter Strike.

Hate to cause trouble, but to get the same ratio as 360 hardware to PS3 hardware (about 1.636:1), COD4 on PS3 should have sold about 3.08 million. So, nothing really spectacular about 2.52 million, but it's still a good number.
