Aside from no source they just say "allegedly".

Though they do mention boosted sales due to promotions and apparently one retailer even bundled 5 games with a 399.99€ console O_O

which makes sense since according to nintendo of france in early december they were talking how close xbox one and wii u were close in sales

and if xbox one did 300k according to this then wii u would be at 600k(we would have heard and announcement by now and wii u would have to sell over 110 the last 3 weeks of december)
