How are so many people saying Melee? I love it too but it is so broken and unbalanced compared to the Wii U, which has a better roster, better stages, and more features that make it so fun. I guess it's nostalgia.

Better roster with all those clones, better stages where you have to pay attention to not fall in the transitions, no adventure mode, no target mode, no platform mode. Yeah, I guess is the nostalgia.

Yeah because Melee had NO clones or transition stages whatsoever. I'll give you the rest, but I would trade all of them for 8-player smash alone, let alone the other cool features.

Their transition stages were not as bad as the ones in SSBU. PLus clones were less and I've already mentioned before. SSBU has a lot more. The other cool features of SSBU does not compensate the missing ones that were classics. And Melee gameplay is better.

According to Smashpedia, Melee had more clones

Melee gameplay wasn't better. It was cheap and easy to exploit (So many Foxes). 4 is more polished.

supersmashbros wiiU is the best by far, melee doesn't even come close and this is from someone who was obsessed with melee.

And even with clones, their characters were better than 4. Still, Melee gameplay is better.

You cannot logically say Melee had the better roster when the only thing extra they have going for them is Pichu, Roy, Young Link, and Ice Climbers. There are so many newcomers in Smash 4 that are all way better (Except arguably Ice Climbers).
