Yeah man, that first qualification is brutal. xD

The problem here is that vgc arguments will cause splash damage, the more you crowd around him the more often he'll be hit.

Nintendo made a Yoshi console game for the first time since 1996, you're kind of obligated to like them for at least a little while if it turns out any good.

A VGC Classic.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I'm too busy keeping up with my own fanboy Nintendo posts to bother trying to help another nintendo fanboy from losing his sanity. I, however, like to be a lone wolf when it comes to defending Nintendo. In fact, I find it a little creepy when I am around another Ninendo fanboy because there is like a 1:50 ratio of people that are Nintendo fanboys compared to other companies... or at least it seems like it.

It's gonna be hard to find any suitable candidate that fits these 2 conditions.

I guess I don't really count because I've already been filling the position.

Hey buddy, you kind of hit a lot of trigger words in this post, you might want to keep your posts more tame.

As many of you may be aware, the evil power-abusing moderator Veknoid_Outcast is threatening our beloved member tbone51 with a permaban (see tbone51's profile and current ban reason for details). In order to keep our fellow Nintendo fan around, we have to help him whenever we can. A couple of months ago I assigned the_dengle with a bodyguard job for tbone51, but that obviously didn't work out (otherwise tbone51 wouldn't be banned... again) because people tend to get busy with other things in their life. So the logical conclusion is that it takes more than two people to watch over tbone51 because it is a 24/7 job, so now we (the_dengle and I) are hiring.

What tbone51's problem is: He gets aggravated by Nintendo haters/detractors/critics to the point that he does himself in. He simply cannot keep his cool.

The qualifications you need as a bodyguard:

1. You have to like Nintendo and tbone51.

2. You have to be skilled in calling other people stupid without directly calling them stupid. The way that moderation on VGC works is that calling a spade a spade is forbidden, but inventive descriptions get routinely a pass.

3. You have to be willing to jump into any discussion, no matter how silly it is.

There will be no limits to the number of bodyguards. The more the merrier. It will be your duty to intervene as soon as you sense trouble for tbone51. If tbone51 sees that someone else is going to shut up a hater, he should be backing off naturally because the task of white-knighting for Nintendo isn't on him alone.

If you want to apply for the job, you should get opportunities to prove your skills mentioned in point 2 in this very thread right here because it can be expected that a bunch of people who don't meet the first criterion want to apply as bodyguard.

SO TRUE. For example I recently got banned for saying I'm glad a console is selling better than another one. But if I implied it and wrote a little smiley face like ";)"  and had an avatar and sig that states my preference, I'm sure I would have "gotten away with it".

Yeah he should remove the "boy" part from his comment because calling someone a Nintendo fan and Nintendo fanboy is TOTALLY different.

I think I've found my life's calling.
