...Nintendo is incredibly dumb on this things.

Happyconsolegamer only has around 90k subs. Why does this matter? Well that probably means he isn't partnered, or if he is he isn't partnered with one of the big youtube groups. Why does that matter? Well, big youtube groups tend to have deals with Nintendo and other big software producers and Nintendo gets a kickback that way. This is all about Nintendo being able to control their product, which tbh, they have every right to do. Recently Shigeru Miyamoto and either Eiji Aonuma or Satoru Iwata have been speaking out about how they feel about cutscenes/trailors being posted on the internet, the huge budget involved with making those cinematics, and possibly reallocating large parts of that budget towards the actual game itself. So, what does that mean about the future of Nintendo and Youtube? Beats me, I could easily see them relaxing their policy on Youtube if they reduce their cinematic budget on games, but the same argument could be made for them cracking down even harder, so your guess is as good as mine.

It's not that big of a deal really. Videos aren't being taken down as far as I know. It simply means, if YouTube partners don't drown out the Content ID'd Nintendo music in their videos, they likely won't see much financial gain from that specific video.

I watched the video the TC posted, and he was flagged for images in the video, specifically the one of Link jumping off Epona and drawing his bow from the E3 2014 footage, he used stills, not the video or music.

So I looked into this a bit further, and found out that Nintendo is going to be/has already(not too sure) be creating a Youtube affiliate program in which they intend to share ad revenue from the videos.

If Nintendo hasn't already launched this program, maybe they're getting ready to. Either way them claiming videos again would make sense.

Nintendo flagging for still images?!?! Now that's f-ing ridiculous. First time hearing about this affiliate program though. Sounds like progress.

Yes, it does sound positive, but there are a few concerns I have personally. Chief amongst them being that we havn't heard anything since this new or that the details of how revenue will be split between Nintendo and the content creator. On the plus side tho, I'm personally looking forward to a new wave of Nintendo exclusive Let's Players :D

Something I'd totally love would be an actual full LP series by Reggie w/ a new guest dev/spokesperson in each episode.

With comments on Youtube is it Nintendo flagging the videos or a bot flagging out of control?

Its stupid how many videos get taken down due to Nintendo content but also understandable why it happens.

Need to find a better middle ground is all.

Haha yeah that would be pretty neat, a full LP series would never happen, but maybe him playing each game a little bit and showing off some of the features to hype up new releases. Something like that might actually happen haha
