If Gates hadn't given so much to charity, he would be #1 without a doubt. Didn't he donate $1b in one shot just a few years back? I know he's given an absolute fortune to various charities over the years.

For the life of me, I will never understand why people idolize Steve Jobs and almost universally despise Bill Gates. As a human being outside of the business world, it's hard to talk much shit on Gates.
