I agree, retailers are probably keeping high stock in anticipation.

Wouldn't Nintendos shipped numbers actually be higher than their sold numbers then? Did Nintendo ever announce shipped numbers? Because the 20.13 million sold being the same as shipped would mean that they were sold out of every Wii they made that year which is unlikely.
Its also unlikely that Sony has 1.5m+ PS4s laying around in stores to top the unknown shipped numbers for Wii. I hate to say it but this is a Dhalsim Street Fighter stretch.

With ahead i meant in shipped numbers offcourse. Sold through numbers can give a better indication of how well a system is selling at a specific time, but in the end only shipped numbers are reliable. 18.5 million announced by Sony could be a minimum number, the real number could be slightly higher. More inportantly we just don't how much Wii exactly sold to consumers at the end of 2007. |
And Sony wouldn't announce it? I mean, the "20m" thing is a great accomplishment and would have caused a bigger impact.
Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I highly doubt it. Either way, the Wii sold 20m and likely shipped more, so even if the PS4 was at 20m shipped, it would still be behind the Wii in both sold and shipped numbers.
