A vocal minority hates it, but my advise is to look some vids and then decide. You can always buy cheap and sell later in case you don't like it. I saw a complete 100% walkthrough before buying and it's now one of my favorites games.

What about metroid corruption?

Buy it.

If you haven't played the Metroid Primes on Gamecube and you can find Prime Trilogy then that would be the best option... but it was limited release so it could be difficult to find cheap. (On Amazon & Ebay UK at the moment it is going for about 50% more than what I paid for it new) The standard Prime Corruption is still awesome though (it was my first Metroid game so you don't have to be a fan)

Uhnnnnnnnnn... Game UK have it for 13 pounds but it isn't it region locked? I wanted the trilogy, if not corruption and other m will have to do.

Kind of surprised Game have it listed that cheap... Of course it is out of stock so the price doesn't mean much, it might have been at that price for a long time but if not enough people trade the game in they will never have online stock, it's also possible that the odd 1 or 2 copies that are traded into a store are just priced seperately within that store only (or given the games rarity maybe even "bought" by store employees)

I think you would be lucky to find a copy of Trilogy for less than £40 second hand in the UK (glad I bought mine shortly after launch for £35 new :-p )

Only one mention of Sin & Punishment? For real?! Look up youtube gameplay videos, the game is awesome. Arc Rise Fantasia is a good JRPG, and on a lesser note I enjoyed both Boy and His Blob (2D puzzle platformer) and Batman Brave and the Bold (kinda like Batman & Robin on the Genesis). About the only game I'd downvote here is Fragile Dreams; despite the familiar voice actors and interesting setting, it always manages to put me to sleep, like every time I seriously attempt at progress.

Thanks for the suggestions

Super Smash Bros Brawl

Super Papermario

Wario Ware Smooth Moves

Zelda Twilight Princess

Donkey Kong Country Returns

Super Mario Sluggers, Strikers and Tennis

I'm also watching the price of the following games and waiting the right time to buy:

Wii Sports Resort,

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Muramasa

Zelda: Skyward Sword

Punch-Out

Mario Kart

Xenoblade

Metroid Prime Trilogy

Mario Party 8

Mario Sport Mix.

Please indicate any unforgetable exclusives, preference to cheap games =p

Just Dance 2,3, Kids.... Monster Lab, Aragorn's Quest, Spores Hero, Ravig Rabbids travel in time and TV, Indiana Jones were included in initial buy of the console...

Just curious why Mario Party 8 and not 9?

No special reason... which I see for the price I want I'll grab.

Well, since it won't run on my Wii I won't look too much for it.. but will buy one in USA when I get there.

Wow, this thread made me realize how great it must be to buy into a console after it's life is over. So many great games for you to check out if you actually have the patience to hold off.

Is Metroid Prime better as a Wii game (with Wii Remote controls) or as a Game Cube game (assuming the OPs Wii is backwards compatible)?

I am asking for selfish reasons...

It would have just been better to buy the Wii U. If you were waiting for a price drop, that sucks because buying the Wii would be just as expensive as buying a Wii U bundle that was $300 with two games included.(As in, once the price goes down on the Wii U, you will have still spent the same initial 300$ or so due to buying the Wii) But your choice. I am glad Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn is on your list though! That game is phenomenal!

Red Steel 2 is kinda cool if you have a motion plus.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I think it would depend on what you are used to as well as how you play games.

I haven't played the GC version of Prime & Prime 2 so I can't give specifics but it does control well on the Wii... the interface for switching beams/visors feels a little odd at first, probably because I was used to Corruption where you can't switch beam (upgrades simply stack on top of each other) but otherwise it feels very similar to Corruption, which is arguably the best controlling FPS on Wii. (The Conduit can be customised to such a degree that it is probably the best, but somehow Nintendo seems to get the controls in most of their games to feel perfect without making you customise them)

The main thing with using Wii pointer controls versus dual-analogue for shooting games is that you have some way to steady your wrist, and in particular so that your 'at-rest' position has the pointer in the middle of the screen.
