Forums - Gaming Discussion - What was the first console that you owned?

Gorwing up, we always had a Coleco Gemini in the house.  It was essentially an Atari 2600 with a different casing and a different controller: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coleco_Gemini

That being said, the NES resonated with me more.  We got it in 1990 with Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt, Tetris, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Final Fantasy.  Some fun times that Christmas.

Add me on Xbox: DWTKarma

Atari 2600, Sega Genesis, and SNES. In that order.
Very fond memories of them all. :)

My father bought me of these back in 1996:

Atari 2600 Montgomery Wards Edition. Combat, Pac-Man, Lock-n-Chase, Missile Command, Fire Fighter, and a lot of others.

My first console with my first game. Still works like a charm.

by my count

then atari then nes.

The first console my family had was a NES back in 86'. My dad tell stories about having to drive 2 hours to different city just to find one in stock. I started to want my own console when the N64 came out, instead Santa got me a SNES mini with Yoshi's island xmas 97'.   The first and only colnsole my parents bought for me.

Hello World

SNES but rarely played it. Castlevania 4 and Ghosts and Ghouls I remember playing the most

N64 is where that all changed. I would spend countless hours in Mario 64 and OOT also playing Goldeneye with my friends
