Can you tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps when you play video games?

Yes, I can. 308 80.42%

No, I cannot. 75 19.58%

Total:383

Sometimes 60fps makes me feel like the game is in fast forward lol

I can easily tell the difference between 60fps and 30fps. What I can't easily tell is the difference between 1080p and 720p for most games / media, unless I'm staring up close at the screen or if someone takes still images of both in their native resolution and uploads them, which makes the ongoing debate between games in 720p/1080p and even 900p/1080p even more hilarious.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Yeaa and I hope more games do it

This. I can't tell just by looking what resolution a game is in, because after AA etc some lower resolution games can look just as smooth for the distance I sit away from the TV. However, I can instantly tell you whether it's in 30fps or 60fps and I personally want 60fps every time. Unless it's a game that doesn't rely on reactions such as a JRPG.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I'm not sure I can tell the difference 100% of the time, but for the most part I can. My favorite example is MGS2 vs. MGS3, where it didn't take me long to realize MGS3 ran at a lower framerate than MGS2 despite not having played MGS2 in a long time and despite not paying too much attention to framerates yet.

I don't understand how people can't. Now, I would argue that the perception difference isn't as big as the jump from 20-30fps, but it's definitely A LOT better and I don't understand how people can't see the difference.

yes i can see the difference, the thing is those extra 30fps to me are only useful in some generes of games.

I honestly think everyone can or they're simply not paying attention to the actual and too caught up in the game

Yes.

I don't know how anyone couldn't tell the difference.
