But 84k ? Seems SO low. Even with the awful launch it's quite surprising.

Botched up launch, mediocre reviews, quite a few bundles, the US's interest in racing games has been getting smaller for years now, take your pick.

Driveclub will probably not make Sony any money, but if vgchartz sales (boosted by bundles) are somewhat correct and if the internet is to be believed then the game is at the very least building a fanbase and therefore a foundation for a sequel that Evolution will hopefully get to make and that they can then use to implement all they've learned from this first game to make a second game that's both critically acclaimed and financially successful.

But Driveclub was originally promised as a free game for PSN Plus users. At the time I was surprised it was selling in retailers at all. But now I'm surprised it didn't have better legs considering we never had the free version and there's no word on when we will.

Not in all the countries. UK charts includes bundles, but apparently Germany charts doesn't.

Still, doesn't change the fact that Driveclub really sold bad in the US.

It was a new IP. New IP's sell off word of mouth. The word of mouth wasn't positive

To the people that were yelling at me in the NPD thread,  this is why I get confused.  A VG veteran is saying bundles are not counted.
