gran turismo doesn't even do that well over there now so this isn't surprising. Europe/aus/nz seem to be crazy about racing games only.

GT5 NPD November: 400k
GT5 NPD December: 1.14 million

GT6 NPD December: 300k

While I agree GT6 dropped a lot in sales it is yet way ahead any other sim in the consoles.

wow thats good sales for december of GT6, was that this year, thats really awesome if thats true, was just disapointed in forza horizon 2 and driveclub sales this year so looked back on other racing games on vgchartz and saw sales of racing games in america and japan have decreased heaps. But i guessing there not to accurate on here?

These are the first year of the GT games like 84k is the first year of DriveClub.

GT5 relesed in November 26th 2010
GT6 released in December 5th 2013

GT6 was heavly affected by PS4 hype launch... it released in 2013 after the megaton PS4... even so GT6 sold more at launch than any Forza or racing game except of course Mario Kart.

I expect GT7 to have sales in line with GT5... that is the standard sales on GT games.
