Sony Corp. has revealed that it will be shutting down all 14 of their dedicated stores in Canada. The firm made the announcement in a memo to employees in those stores. Full shutdown should be complete within the next two months. The company’s news came on the same day that Target announced it would be shuttering all of its retail stores in Canada.

Very strange to hear this, I wonder if theres some over all troubles in the market in canada at the moment. What do you guys think?

Canada's real?

Sony has dedicated stores? I had no idea. Never heard of one here in the US, so it's weird to hear they existed in Canada.

Soon after, Sony will sell not one, not two, but 14 buildings! Well, 14 small buildings.

Not sure how Sony stores survived this long with how overpriced the stuff  they'd be selling in these stores are.

Welp, whatever you gotta do to trim the fat I guess (Even though we have been saying the samething for years)

I remember there were Sony stores in the U.S.. But, I have not seen one in years. I am guessing they are no longer around.

Meh, I thought they closed most of the ones in Canada a while ago.

Everything is closing in Canada. Target Canada is closing all stores as well.

Found out yesturday. One in my city (calgary). Not going to miss it. Go to the Microsoft or Apple store 75 feet from it lol!
