What are you even speaking of Yokai Watch? From what we know it's a shitty game anyway.
Pokemon looks good and people wanting to compare it to Xenoblade are very limited.

Very classy, bad mouthing a game you've never played. It's the fans of pokémon that turned the franchise into the lazy games we get today. Yokai Watch seems like a fresh of breath of fresh air in this genre.

I have trouble with autobattle games. I can't take them seriously, it's like an autodrive racing game. And the design of Youkai watch is just ugly. Don't want Pokemon to look anywhere like that graphic wise.

Erm...p
Youkai Watch battles are more involved than pokémon's battlesystem.

The classic a few counter exemples in more than 700 monsters. Not only Youkai watch monster are ugly, but the whole characters, worlds and artstyle is ugly as well from what I have seen.
And the auto gameplay battle make it just for the kids. I like my games not playing themselves.

I can give you 500 examples... Pokémon designs have gone extremely downhill. You're just hating onthe game now for silly reasons. The battlesystem doesn't play itself. Don't talk about games you did no research on.
Gen 5 was a low point for the franchise.

...How is it limited? From almost any angle, the Pokemon handheld games don't hold a handle to Xenoblade, but no one expects them to because they're on limited hardware. Now with Xenoblade 3D, the comparison can more closely be made. Pokemon will never take that kind of advantage of the New 3DS, but when the next handheld comes out and it is capable of worlds much bigger and more detailed than Xenoblade Chronicles, another top down tiny Pokemon RPG simply won't cut it. Not when Xenoblade Chronicles was on the system the generation prior.
There was nothing on the original DS that matched the scale of of the Pokemon 3DS games with comparable presentation. On the next handheld though, there will be Xenoblade Chronicles to compare them to. If Pokemon can't be made to the same scale as Xenoblade 3D on hardware much stronger than the N3DS, what on Earth is the point of buying new hardware for it?
Aside from the transition between Gens 4 and 5, each Pokemon has been a significant upgrade in graphics and presentation. Gen 6 was the first one where diminishing returns hit so hard, though. Clearly XY look leagues better, graphically, than any 4-5 Gen Pokemon game, but the leap still didn't feel significant enough. Now that we have 3D Pokemon, that won't be a selling point anymore. Gen 7 needs to be that next significant upgrade, and with the Pokemon already looking console ready in battle, simply cleaning that up won't be enough. Especially on new hardware significantly stronger than the previous one that supported the largest full scale open world JRPG in current history.
They will finally have everything they need on a handheld, where the most people could say will be "it could look so much prettier on a console" as opposed to "it could reach it's full potencial on a console." They'll have the power. They'll have the space. They'll have the second analog stick. They'll have everything they haven't had at all yet from any of the handhelds up until New 3DS.

I have searched.
If Yokai watch had a deep battle system instead of an autobattle mode where the computer attacked alone, I might have been interested. If it wasn"t that bad design wise it would have helped too.
But now, let the topic be about more serious games like it supposed to do.

Way off topic, the both of you. Continue, and you'll be reported. This isn't a Pokemon vs. Yokai Watch penis measuring thread.

I don't want Pokemon to look like Xenoblade, it would totally lost the tone of the game, its identity, its design and would take more than 5 years to create for diminishing returns as it would lost a lot of appeal.
Xenoblade was a true masterpiece, but it has absolutely nothing in common with Pokemon. Pokemon will look better,, but it absolutely does not need the scale of Xenoblade, nor the full 3D view and the more realistics models.
