Pokemon makes compromises to fit on the 3DS too. That's the entire point of this thread. Yokai doesn't look any better though, and nothing in any of those games comes remotely close to looking as detailed as the 700+ fully modeled Pokemon in XY and ORAS.

Pokemon needs to stay how it is, the formula is perfect and only need minor improvement. Everything involving turn based fights, MMORPGS, big 3D environnement are bound to fail miserably.

Just wait for the Xenoblade Chronicles to release in 3DS this April of 2015 then we'll see the New 3DS's true power.

If you're correct, then I am guessing that Gamefreak is saving it's other features for the next Pokemon game. For the "huge world" part, meh, I don't think Gamefreak is going to that.

Right, and Xenoblade is nothing like Skyrim. They're totally different RPGs.

Pokemon doesn't need to be like Xenoblade to need a big 3D open world. Pokemon's formula is not perfect. It needed to modernize years ago, but handheld hardware held it back. The game I described would rejuvanate the franchise, not fail.

I know what Yokai is. It definitely doesn't look better. And the size of it's world isn't remotely comparable to that of Pokemon's. It makes compromises to fit on the 3DS, just like Pokemon does. Like I said, nothing in those games look as good as the 700+ detailed pokemon models or the full trainer models during battles.

Anyway, I don't think Gamefreak will make a Pokemon game for the tiny New 3DS install base.

The world looks loads better and you don't know how big the world is. Just because it has more models doesn't mean it looks better. Pokémon is one of the ugliest games on 3DS. Please don't defend these lazy graphics.

Pokemon takes place in an entire country. Yokai watch doesn't. It doesn't just have more models. All those models are better looking and more detailed than anything in Yokai Watch. Pokemon is definitely not one of the ugliest games on 3DS.

I guess Pokémon is bigger than gta v then. The pokémon models don't look great, there's no detail, but a lot of aliasing. Look at vids of both games, the difference is big.
