There has been a mod who was fired before. Not on my team (although I am planning on talking to Smeags about banning TruckOsaurus after the Greatest User Tournament if I don't make it to finals this year).

So mods are divided into teams. Is it sort of like Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, slytherin and Ravenclaw. Then dumbledore (Smeags) gives points to a team which gives the most warning and bans. and snape (ioi) reduce points.

Then who is the "prefect" of mods? Semgas? Axum? I heard that "he who must not be named" is controlling everyone. We need a savior.

I can tell you that most of the time the rest of the mods will dismiss the reports and nothing happens. About 75% of my reports concern posts that were written by mods.

Only?

Do mods have the power to ban someone for excessive reporting of comments?

Of course they do.

My comment might have been a little vouge. I meant: Do mods have the power to ban users who report a lot of posts for no reason whatsoever.

Yes.

I remember a certain mod asking a group of us to comb through a user's posts and reporting any so that he could ban him O-:). Actually two mods did this. I remember because one of us jokingly mentioned it in a mod feedback thread and the other mod sent us a message begging us not to say.
