Forums - Gaming - Amiibo sold 2.5 million units in NA for 2014. How do you evaluate that?

Imagine worldwide. *whistle.*

I keep forgetting to pre-order Sonic.

Sonic is all I need.

And maybe Lucina

And possibly Toon Link

And supposedly Bowser.

What have I become?! AHHHHH!

Do not worry. Soon they'll announce a ripped Knuckles from Sonic Boom and you'll be able to purchase it.

Even with the infamous stock and supply issues... A success. And I'm glad it is that way. 3DS at around 50 million, Wii U at basically 9 million, millions of software and amiibo sold, should help them a lot with their projections and reporting profits instead of a loss like last year.

good.
but should have sold more if supply was enough.
I want a mewtwo amiibo.

I'd love to know what sales of Skylanders and Disney Infinity were over the same time period...

Nintendo cashed in big time with Amiibo. And there are more to come...

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

If they would have produced more of some amiibos the results would be even better, but it is a great start.

How much does amiibos cost in the US? and can someone compare the price with something else.

$13, so less than a quarter of a regularly priced video game here. Maybe the cost to go out to eat twice? Cost of a movie ticket? A few beers?

You can get a meal for less than $7 in the States?

Meh.. wish that could be for a game's sales instead of for amiibo... still not sold on them, and thats coming from someone who owns one. They better be using that cash towards some new Wii U games.
