Come on man don't be like that. Why are you picking on me? Surely you should be replying to him and pointing out that while xbox might win the usa it won't be dominating.  What I said is correct.  Sony will still dominate worldwide even with a price cut in the usa.

Because we have an immense amount of people being salty about "in the US" in an NPD thread.

He didn't specify the us and who is being Salty? All I see are ninty fans happy with an increase,  xbox fans happy the firesale worked and ps fans happy they only got beat by 200k so the usa gap remains big.  I'm really struggling to see the salt, man.

My point is that he doesn't need to specify "in the US" in an NPD thread. You don't see him specifying the US when saying numbers or congratulations since its implied because of the topic/title. You can make a December 2014 worldwide numbers thread and then you can specify all you want.

wasnt xb1 outselling ps4 two months in a row in the u.s. ''impossible'' but yet here it is lol

It was impossible until MS massively cut the price on the X1, making it cheaper than the Ps4 and gave away a lot of free games.

MASSIVELY! Lol Sony cut the price of the PS3 by 100$ in under a year, and didn't remove dead squat! Vs a temporary price cut for two months and 2 games with that. Now its probably staying at 349, but production costs are probably already at that level or maybe even lower! Back in Nov 2013 it cost 397$ (without kinect) to make. Now its probably considerably lower. Anyway good decision to lower it again, and congrats for the sales!

And MS dropped the entry price of the 360 to $279, or $120 less than the newly $399 PS3, so of course the 360 was going to stay ahead.  It just proves what others have said, US gamers, as a whole, seem to very price conscious and not as brand loyal as other countries.  Though, PS4's popularity is helping it to compete against the cheaper XBO.  And I imagine it may help it stay ahead in the slower months.

Amiibo will do more money than Xbox Live/PSN combined.. That shit already sold 2,5 million in one month in the US. And there is a new wave almost each week.

The attach rates is why some companies don't mind being exclusive to XBOX. Despite ps4 having a 1 million+ install base lead a majority of the year, several games sold better on XB1 and there is still a ton of 360 support.

Every developer on earth minds going exclusive on any platform unless they get a huge bag of money.

I also love how you try to talk down PS4 sales and/or try to make XB1 sales look way better than they are with the bolded part. Also, what games have sold better on XB1 than PS4 (talking WW here as exclusitivy aplies to the whole world and not just the US)?

Don't get so defensive, I'm only pointing out that XBOX attach rates continue to be the highest in the industry.

Which means absolutely nothing for publishers.

What exactly are you trying to argue? That publishers choose to make Xbox exclusives because of the attach rate?

Lolz.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I love how every time I make a point you refuse to talk about that point and just completley avoid it. Also, if you think someone might make a game exclusive for XB1 because of their partnership with Microsoft, especially while the XB1 isn't the market leader, and the XB1's attach rate then I just don't know what to say without risking a ban. Nobody in their right mind will avoid a 18.5mil+ console which is leading the market unless they get offered a huge amount of cash.

Smash Bros. doing well combined, looks like Nintendo will have a base for their next platform when making games. Too bad the sales aren't as good in the rest of the world for the Wii U game, the "superiority-ness" of it means nothing in the eyes of most consumers.

Mario Kart 8 still on top though, nice, will remain that way most likely.

XB1 did fantastic, saw many people I know with new systems themselves, the software sales are nice too, PS4 isn't bad at all, but they did try pretty hard in December with the bundles and certain price-cuts at retailers (329$ at Walmart for example). I guess the Xbox brand is still big in the holidays.

If that was the case, then the Vita would be getting AAA after AAA exclusives

Those games sold better on Xbox because Xbox sold more in those months. It's that simple.

Higher install base = Higher Sales

Although the PS4 has the advantaege in install base in the US, it is still quite small so new software releases will tend to sell better on the console that sold the most in that month in particular.

Where did you get that Xbox attach rates are the highest in the industry?
