Forums - Gaming - Sony Should Sell Playing Cards

At the Playstation experience, Sony came up with what I think is a pretty 'neat' idea, which was that every game on the show floor gave you a single playing card. You could collect all of the cards to make a full pack. It seems to me a missed opportunity NOT to sell packs of playing cards separately. I'm sure there would be lots of people who would buy them. They could also pack them into bundles at Christmas for extra value. Not only is it a good idea but it's an idea that has legs because all they then have to do is release another pack the following year with new games on them. I would also add two Jokers to the pack. These would have a question mark on one side and a cryptic image of an unannounced game on the other.

This is a sure bet promotional win. DO IT!

Playing cards of what? Games? Are these standard playing cards?

I don't really see the point of that, if they are just standard playing cards then what incentive is there for people (who aren't collectors) to get them?

Each one had a different game on them that was coming to a PS platform. I'd buy them:

But are these just standard playing cards like the kind used for poker and blackjack and stuff like that? Because if so I really can't see any appeal for anyone other than collectors. With just them I don't think it would be worth doing.

Look at the image I provided. I think it would sell to more than just collectors but even if it did, it's still a good idea. And like I said, they could pack them in with bundles at Christmas to add value.

That's actually pretty neat though they shouldn't really sell them instead they should leave them for special events such as this.

Send a Friend Request On PSN :P

It worked for Nintendo.

Sure why not! If they can make it work, I think it has the potential to sell very well

Good idea,

than reinvest the profit in to XPeria XY.

But the question marks should look like Mario´s to bewitch Nintendo fans to buy Sony play cards!

This is the frunstrating thing about Sony for me. Nintendo immediately recognise an opportunity but it seems to take a long time for Sony to act on anything like this. I bet if they sold the Metal Slime USB cover they'd sell quite well too.
