So another big drought for the Wii U it seems in the first half.

Whut? Kirby in February, Mario Party in March, don't recall if anything was dated for April, but then Splatoon in May.

That's a terrible drought and it's not like a lot of games aren't releasing in that period.

We need to talk about how they called Turf Wars THE online MODE.

...Like only one.

...Come on Nintendo. It's not 1996.

Fire Emblem was the best highlight. Getting that day one. Will probably get that Dungeons game too, MM, and the New 3DS much later.

Edit: Surprised at no Yoshi announcement... delay?

I cant wait for graphics "experts" to tell us how non-nextgen that Xenoblade X footage was.

Non-nextgen is the best next-gen. :P

Tha'ts really depressing for a line up that will get barely any games from 3rd parties.

Not when you should have long accepted the fact that Wii U getting no third party support. By such standards things are looking to be better this year than the last.

A Felyne, MonHun's mascot

It both saddens me and makes me proud that you know this.

In Japan, thei're called "Airou" by the way. :)  (Based on the old Greek word for cat.)

Need something off Play-Asia? http://www.play-asia.com/

Well. That was... a Direct.

Would've been pretty great if it weren't for all that actively bad news about the New 3DS. No smaller model, no charger. Even PAL regions get the regular model (no offense PAL). wtf NoA?

Overall this was a good Direct. It did seem very 3DS-focused but that's to be expected.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Disappointing, as usual. Was hoping to see at least one unannounced Wii U game. Seems this direct was 80% 3DS centered. Frankly I dont care about upgrading to a "new" 3DS when the one I own now works just fine. Bummer

No Yoshi, no Mario Maker, no explanation as to why Europe doesn't get Kirby in February... Not great for Wii U, especially for me personally. I have working Wii copies of the Wii download games, and won't be buying any Wii U release till Splatoon in May, unless Nintendo pull something out for March (other than Party 10) or April.

If I can get my New 3DS working with my wifi, though... Majora's Mask 3D, Monster Hunter 4, Xenoblade 3D and Code Name STEAM as must-buys, add Puzzles & Dragons, Ironfall and Ace Combat to the 'maybe' pile.

On one hand I get why Nintendo emphasises 3DS, but the lack of relatively simple Wii U releases like Mario Maker, Yoshi and Kirby (in Europe) is concerning. Are these games June/July at the earliest? And what does that mean for second half releases?

Hopefully there'll be another Direct sooner rather than later.
