Is the bundle coming to PAL territories?

i don't think it'll hurt much. Maybe a month away it will, but 3 months away, no.

What was the point of announcing the bundle so early? Was it so that people considering getting GTAIV on x360 would wait for the PS3 bundle?

I don't see how an upcoming bundle would hurt sales. I mean... unless they only want that game.

I think it will slightly hurt... I have some close friends that are waiting til MGS4 (some waiting to buy a PS3 until GTA4)... Thats just my side, but im sure there are many others that will account for a small small percentage of people waiting

Like the guy above, most consumers are idiots and dont know about the MGS4 bundle :D

Also, until MGS4, I think a smart move on Sonys part would be to release something exciting for GTA4... Anywhere from a Silver or White PS3, maybe Home,... SOMETHING :|

I'm definetly getting GTA4 on the PS3, I just feel like Sony isn't doing anything for PS3 owners for GTA4... No pre-order stuff, No bundle, No new sku... We're still a ways away, so I hope something gets announced :(

Probably a bit. It was a very strange move to announce the new bundle so far in advance. I wonder what their reasoning behind it was.
