Digital Foundry's damning analysis of its framerate put me off buying it, did they ever fix that?

Yes, i think the game has a 1 gig patch. I haven't played a lot of it, but what i have seems decent enough.

Wouldn't bet on it since Ubisoft is focused on current gen HD twins now ...

I bought the game in april last year and i remember downloading a lengthy update so i think so. The framerate itself didn't seem too bad and it never prevented me from enjoying a very good game.

since we are talking about patches for third party games on nintendo consoles does anyone know if mgs snake eater 3d was patched? I was checking miiverse today and saw that the game finally has a community in there, and some people were talking about an update but they weren't very clear about it...

It got one 1GB patch, but I think that was the day-1-patch.

The framerate is still bad and it didn't get the fixes that the other versions got.

Nintendo fans are less worthy of fixes so why would they?

No, but  after some firmware update (4.5 or so) many games start runing beter(MGS,DoA,Rayman 3D etc). At launch MGS had choppy framerate ,and was totaly  unplayabale in 3D mode, even in 2D framerate was low. Now it works finie it is smooth in 2d , and has ocasional framedrops in 3D. 

How in the hell do you need a 1 gig patch?
