Wow, quite an informative thread! Thanks for making it! Its such a shame Nintendo doesn't do their own factory there but I guess it makes sense if the sales don't justify it. They aren't exactly as big as Sony or MS so if they spend a lot of money on something with a low return, it doesn't really make a business decision.

But it does suck none the less. Can't the people in Brazil just like download the games digitally and use the US eshop or something?

Unfortunately No, See Brazil doesn't even Have Things like Amazon Or Steam, So I don't know if Eshop is there (highly doubtable) but It's a hard place for Gamers over there none the less.

Well, what some people do (like Slarvax who lives in Venezuela) is that when you are doing your inital settings of the 3ds, it lets you choose your region so I thought you can do it that way? Like, choose Canada as your country or US as your country and from what Slarvax tells me, you will get the US/Canadian eshop even if you do not live in Canada/US although I believe its better to choose Canada than US cause the Canadian eshop accepts visa cards even if you are not in Canada but the US doesn't but don't quote me on that cause idk for sure. But the currency is obviously CAD/USD and not whatever the people in Brazil use

Hehe... You talk like I'm your senpai :3 @Bolded: I didn't know that!

Hey, and you know what's cool? If you add USD on the Canadian eShop (as in, from your credit card), it actually transforms the amount you added to the CAD currency!

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Wow, I didn't know that loll. My friend gave me $10 USD PSN gift card for christmas but I couldn't use it on my PSN cause my PSN is Canadian and they don't take US cards for some reason so at least Nintendo is doing something right loll

And yea, the thing u bolded, I was referring to what one of my friends told me, not u but I probably should have made that more clear!

In fact we have Steam, GoG, Origin and all the other.

We can import by amazon too, but if the package it choosen to survey, you need to pay tax+fine

Yes we can. There are some issues though.

While the eShop shows the games prices in BRL, when you try to buy the debt on the credit card is made in USD. So if you don't have a internacional credit card it will refuse the purchase. Than you need to buy those eShop cards codes on the internet to charge your account.

Still it is sad. I love retail and i like to build my collection with them . I was waiting to get Captain Toad on retail, but now i know why it didn't showed up yet.
I think i am going to give up and get it digitally.

Oh, I see. What region is your eshop currently at?

And it is a shame that International laws prevent people from enjoying great games. I wish games could have a lot less restrictions but alas, what can ya do. I do hope Nintendo comes back to Brazil soon enough though and hopefully, this won't be forever
