1. Those were different times. We are currently living in 2015 not 2000 B.C. Every culture went through some sort of violence back then. It was a kill or be killed world. Christians have evolved and so have Muslims, unfortunaly the latter still have a more aggresive nature believe it or not. From killing because their prophet was offended and fighting every time even ounce their government has been killed and so on. Those religions you mentioned are quiete old and unfortanely no longer popular due to the fact that they did not develop. 2. So you are saying that Islam ( The religion ) is problamatic and therefore Muslims ( The followers of such a religion ) are a problamatic demography. 3. Talk to me in 10 to 20 years when they have taken your job and turned you into a muslim ( I am sorry if you already are for mentioning this ) 4. Except most of these forces are against christians ofcourse though they fight against muslims who are against their beliefs. 5. Than the Islamic Religion should make this more clear. 6. Ofcourse, except this idology mainly belongs to Islamic community. I do not know your beliefs and you don't know mine. I believe though that the islmaic religion from my personal experience in my country is an oudated, viloent and woman ill treating rligion. |
1. When did christians stop literally dominating everyone, enslaving people etc.? That actually was not so long ago.Sidenote, christian institutions in Ireland for esxample used their given power to subdue individuals until not so long ago.
2. I dont say that it's Islam. It is a lot of things, like living under repression in actual dictatorships (some of them installed or supported by the west or former USSR) for a very long time, poverty, unempleoyment and much more. Perfect conditions to radicalize people.
Take some of the greatest dictators and mass murderers like Hitler. If you look close you will see similarities, tons of them, in getting people radicalized.
3. Very unlikely to happen. Except if everyone starts getting massive resentments against every muslim, which would play into the hands of cocksuckers like IS or those three french motherfuckers. Because all those resentments are a perfect breeding ground for further radicalisation.
4. A very small minority of extremists is making war on more or less everyone, including christians and others. But they are mainly fighting against other muslims. It's not like the Kurds, which are fiercely fighting IS arent muslims themselves, at least the most of them.
5. The religion actually makes this clear, if you just care the slightest about it. It's not even like there is one Sharia. Sharia is religious law, but it can vary extremely. But western media is always referring to the Sharia. Western media also far to often only says the Islam. But you'll find Shia Islam, Sunni Islam, Alevism etc., some of those islamic directions and streams are surprisingly liberal.
6. Plain no. Being radicalized is something you can see very often. Those white power guys, Ku Klux, german RAF and NSU terrorists (extreme left and extreme right), Behring Breivik, christian fundamentalists in the US...
Radical ideology, yes. Religion or one religion in special, no.
No, the religious zealots think we non-muslims are beneath them for not being muslim, and that we deserve to die if we dare to say anthing or do something that pisses them off

It's kind of sad these groups influence eachother so much in a negative way. After this attack more will become racist which leads to more Muslimfundamentalists. German and Dutch like me are more afraid of the severe influence Islamic groups have on our laws irritate us especially rule bending like ignoring animal welfare for ritual slaughter.
Furthermore the negative statistics Muslim cultures in the west are known for aren't helping either. Week governments which lack backbone and happily change traditions because 3000 immigrants felt the need to complain and some media propaganda caused the soil for racism in West Europe.
Attacks like this will hit the foreign cultures within these countries the hardest of all. Especially since litterair everyone can enter Europe, hell you can't even be an illegal in The Netherlands these days neither do we send people back if they severely break the law. So we know everyone can attack Europe without us being able to do anything.
Australia and the US at least screen immigrants in Europe we fish them out of the ocean literally. With all possible problems for the tourism sector, nothing more irritating than constantly being bothered by poor immigrants when you're visiting Barcelona or Paris.
People are to much exposed to those problems and become racist and the Muslim society will become more divided and in some bad ways more extreme. In Belgium you even have a party thriving to make the Sharia law in Belgium and in the Netherlands we have no go zones which ate almost micro sharia society's.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
@Quark:
The really bad thing is, it's always the radical muslims we see. I live near the durch border and i know that in Roermond for example there are very liberal muslims as well as here. That said, growing resentments over the last twenty years have fed a (small) minority going extreme, which again feeds resentments.
Now you can find Salafists here. Actually liberal muslims really dont like that movement. But those Salafists keep resentments growing again.
Those resentments again keep extremism and radicalisation growing.
At least as long as we let those extremists and terrorists paint our picture of 1,6 billion people this is kind of a vicious circle.

I pray to God you're joking.

Speaking as someone with an incredibly unfavourable opinion of religion, I really hope that was satire.
FOr every war that I've seen in all of history the majority of most wars has religion involved, the bloody crude wars was one of the biggest, Hitler had the whole Nazism thing going, just about any war had religion going for it one way or another, sure we've always had terrorism but really I find religion as a whole to be more of a threat since it's always causing a divide between others, people always getting killed or restricted and even blinded by it, it fuels arrogance in many and causes some of the most pointless spats I've ever seen.
I'm no fan of the US being regarded and acting as world police but at the same time I just dislike the hold religion has on people around the world, if there was none we'd at least be unified in some manner and even then we'd have less wars at some point and even then we wouldn't have been in the dark ages if Christianity never happened, we'd be more advanced than ever had that peroid never come to pass.
I dislike religion as much as I do war, I'd prefer it be abolished but I know that's likely to never happen, all I know is that it will eventually lead to something more horrible like the crusades.
Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see
So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"
I blame abuse of religion. Muslims have been killing infidels for 1500 years. This did not start with the US.
