Forums - Sony - PlayStation TV gets $20-$40 price cut in U.S. by major retailers

As soon as it's $60, ill be picking one up. i only really want it for remote play, and maybe for Playstation Vue depending on the price for that

Like TVii, it's a good idea that just hasn't lived up to its potential. I went from wanting one on day one to not really wanting one at all. If Sony somehow manages to roll out the other features, my tune will likely change.

they just cut the price with the controller bundled which is a good move, no desperation just logic. a controller cant cost 40 $ more

Doesn't the controller cost $50 on its own?

that would make the ps3 150$ priced. The controllers are made specificly overpriced in order to get money while consoles and devices are priced as low as possible to get you into their eco system.

They cut the price of the standalone console as well - 20%. It probably still won't sell.

i should have waited...

Crackle is the only thing that's keeping my PS TV alive right now. I don't regret not getting it for launch but would've been nice to get the bundled version for the same price now.

I remember Toys R Us had a pre-Christmas sale on these for the opening price (79.99/99.99) but also came with a $25 gift card.
