Fox had his legs voluntarily amputated to become a better pilot. That's commitment.

I also have the sensation that fox is more well known than Ratchet, but no prove of that.

Star Fox 64 is one of the best shooters of all time. so duh. Fox

I have no idea why this is so close. Rachet is much, much bigger than Fox, both in terms of how the character has developed, sales, etc. Fox hasn't had his own game since like the gamecube ( i believe) and even that game was average. Fox and Rachet are getting new games soon, but fox has just been tacted on Smash with his character or world not making any significant progress.

you're mistaken if you think Ratchet & Clank is a stronger IP than Star Fox. it's not. there may have been more games released recently, but that's more Nintendo just deciding to go with other things (among their strong library of IP's).

Star Fox games generally do fairly well, but also remember they generally have been on consoles (duh) that have smaller user base than Ratchet (Playstation)

Fox is supposed to be such a good pilot, but he doesn't even know the difference between a barrel roll and an aileron roll. SMH.

And this is such a great point, that you didn't even notice it was Peppy Hare who says do a barrel roll and not Fox McCloud.

I don't think you got my point, Peppy Hare says "Do a barrel roll", but Fox does an aileron roll instead of a barrel roll.

Lol, you know... Good point.

Though one has to wonder if Peppy knows the Arwing can't do a barrel roll. I know, I've piloted one many times.

Making up for his inadequeties by removing his legs?

Fox would only be more known than Ratchet as a Smash character, not as a space hero and protagonist

It is Peppy who is wrong. Most of the time he asks for a barrel roll there is not even enought space for that.

Fox just don't want to be disrespectful to his father friend in front of everyone so he ignores him.
