Was thinking about that as well, but i couldn't pass on a rogue because whenever there is a locked door i want to know what's behind it.

Yeah, I noticed that once you get to certain levels the system is fully exploitable, if you're not dealing with dragons or giants. I'm almost at level 11 with Sera by my side and I'm cleaning house. If I used two warriors it would exploit how broken the system of the game is.

I'm already a Rogue with two daggers. He would only get in the way. If I am going to play with two rogues, its a good thing this game lets you fight in two different ways just like warriors. The good thing about mages is you can mix and match attributes better than anyone else. It makes you the ultimate mage. I cannot wait until the special attack tree becomes unlocked like in Dragon Age 2 so I can really wreck things.

True enough.

You being a ranged character makes sense as to why you dont really need to strategize. Mages and archers are definitely needed to be focused into key points with their weapons. Rogues only need flank and surprise their opponent to survive but in this game its better to program those decisions into the character to get the best result because they leave the close quarters rogue customization up to you. The archer style rogue comes stock with distance attacks since all of the stock rogue characters who company you are distance attackers. I get what you're saying, though. The thing about most of the conversations that count in this game is either everything so far is said in haven that matters or its said in the warroom. Everyone says I need to get to skyhold, so i'll just try to do that before I decide whether Varric is useless. I still talk to him though.
Thanks.

Well I don't know about conversations that count, but the ones I'm refering to are the ones said out in the feild, where characters some time randomly engage in conversation. Varrik and Cassandra tend to have some interesting banter going on between them for example. How they speak and what they say can add to why I like the character. And it's just more pleasant to have them around, knowing that if they do strike up a conversation, it will probably be something I'm interestted in. Where's where Sera starts talking, I have no idea what she's saying... |
Makes sense. They do make good company. Those are mostly filler conversations. In this specific Dragon Age the more meaningful conversations can be had with anyone back at Haven after missions or with the council at the war table. i cannot wait for the conversations at skyhold. It will be so epic.

You mean when you walk up to them in Haven or Skyhold and click on them to start a conversation? |
Yeah, generally after missions, just like Mass Effect. Unless its during or after a mission its usually just filler information.
Hiku said:
Yeah, I like those. Usually check with everyone after clearing a new area, or some major story event happened. |
Unless varric is involved in a main mission like Dorian was at the war table where he speaks to you, it matters little. You can always come back and speak to him after a mission. Technically they are all on the mission with you, so you can talk to all of them about how they felt about the mission and how they are going to move on after it, etc. Sera is just so annoying though..lol. Dorian and Iron Bull are with me and at this point they might as well set up camp and just have sex. LOL The flirting is too much.
