Forums - Sales Discussion - Analyst says X1 will equal PS4 in 2015 and have same userbase longterm

Maybe he's only talking about USA sales. If that's the case then I guess this prediction would make sense.

Well who knows... In 2007 everyone would laugh if someone said that PS3 sales will be equal to X360 sales... I think that this year MS still has a chance to catch up with Sony

PS4 and X1 at the same price, even USA is quite a lot to expect equal sales.

If in 2006/7 someone said PS3 had a chance to pass Wii and would be ahead of X360 we would doubt but there was a lot of time for it to happen... but if someone said in 2006 that in 2007 PS3 would sell the same as X360 that would be completely off. That is what the analyst is saying.

He means in the US. He says Xbox sales have been stronger than PS4'S recently, and that's only the case in the US, so... another case of US = world.

January will be interesting to monitor as I suspect X1 to fall pretty hard after holiday bump and being $399 again.

I will not dignify this with a response, other than saying i won't dignify it with a response

US=world or not it wouldn't be the first case of someone saying X1 is closing the gap just because the ratio it was outsold got smaller.

Quite worrying that only one of them can be wrong.

Pachter is a misunderstood martyr.
