My friend wanted a PS3 today, and the only place in town with anything larger then the 40 Gig was K-Mart. To my surprise, they had a 60Gig! I told him to get that one. (He wanted BC). He is the proud owner of a 60 Gig Ps3 as of lunch today :)
It got me thinking, between the 60 and the 80 gig, would you all have made the same recommendation?
Yes ofcrouse, why wouldnt I? The 60GB playstation 3 has nearly 100% Backwards Compatibility, therefore its the clear choice. You can always swap the Hard drive for more gigs if needed.
Hell yes. 20gb vs full hardware BC? The choice should be obvious.
Imo, the 60gb is the best ps3 model released. If only Sony could've eaten the cost and stuck with it.
They are right, but if you wait a few more months Sony could issue a sku with 120 GB with fully BC.
Yeah, full BC is pretty nice. I couldn't definitely use that larger hard drive these days though. All my episodes of Pinky and the Brain are killing me as well as all the music I have stored on there.

he made the right choice as the 60gb ps3 is better at playing p[s2 games than the 80gb.
i wish they kept the 60gb and never made the 80
I would not buy any model OTHER than the 60-gig.
