Other M and FE: Radiant Dawn weren't exactly received as well, though. Radiant Dawn, however, is about as hard to find nowadays as Xenoblade. Besides, Bayonetta 2 was a sequel to a game on an entirely different set of platforms, and whose audience damn well wasn't going to bother with the Wii U to begin with. |
His point was that the massive install base of Wii didn't cause many franchises to see exceptional growth compared to their N64/GC counterparts.
Kirby, Metroid, Fire Emblem, Battalion Wars, Paper Mario, Animal Crossing, 3D Mario, Donkey Kong, Mario Sports, Zelda all sold roughly the same as previous installments. Mario Kart & 2D Mario were the only ones be see crazy huge numbers while Mario Party 8 and Smash Bros had rather large growth as well. The common element in these games is simultaneous 4-player multiplayer, or in other terms party games.
