So many undeducated people talking on these blog like they really know what they are talking about. Kowenicki is the only one who posted factual information, the rest of your are talking out of your butt. The only true gaming company is Nintendo, and they have even lost billions in value over the years. The same ones running their mouths think ps4 could survive without sony, which shows most people have no idea what they are talking about.

XBOX is not an individual business, nor will it ever be. XBOX is a network to bring more MSFT products and services into peoples homes.

Edit: I was looking at the OTC market for Nintendo with is not a good market, but it does give you an idea.

Everyone knows M$ buys gamez even by buying games and devolopers they it arent what it used to be. The x360s launch had rare titles and even two exclusive jrpgs funded by MS, last odessy and blue dragon. Xbox UI was always horrible imo

This is completely true. But at the same time, doesn't that mean that XBox failed miserably in doing that. Because I really don't see any product or service that benefited from XBox consoles.

It is not Windows or Office, as it obviously was mega successful even before consoles.

It isn't Windows Phones, which are doing extremely poorly even in strong XBox markets, and are almost non-existant everywhere else. 

They lack any meaningful music or movie library to have it benefit from consoles.

Basically, it's all about XBox Live, as an adjunct service for a console useless to most anyone without it. It certainly isn't about PC gaming, where they majestically failed while competing with a company 1% of their size.

MS doesn't really produce any other hardware to benefit from tying it with the console/XBL.

Majority of MS's business is tied to corporate interactions, and not having a console would not even be noticed by 99% of companies and 99% of Microsoft.

In short, XBox was a moderately successful venture producing above average losses, and parting ways with it would not impact MS negatively at all.

They just had their best year launch in Xbox history. Why in the world are we having this conversation?

Isn't this then the perfect time to sell it? At the height of its popularity. It would certainly command a premium price.
