I thought you were worrying about wii u perfomance and you wish for a better one, even though you doesn't see it to happen!:(

I don't think I've ever seen you end a sentence in a simple full stop.

Anyway, on topic:

PS4-19 million

3DS-7.5 million

XB1-9.5 million

Wii U-2.5 million

Vita-1.8 million

Why are people thinking that 3DS sales will be flat YoY?

Not sure what ur talking about, most of the predictions for 3DS are 7-9 million next year. If this site is correct (could very well be incorrect but until we get official confirmation, it's a good estimate) than 3DS is on track to sell about 9.5-10 million this year.

Let's say this year is on the lower end so 9.5m and next year is right in the middle of most predictions so about 8m. That would be a 15-20% YoY decline, which isn't too unlikely.

I think we need an extra thread dedicated to Wii U predictions to see where VGC really stands. I mean we're seeing here massive variations from 2m to 7m.

I know we still have 3 weeks worth of data to recieve and there could also be adjustments but for the most part, we have a pretty good idea of what year-end hardware sales will look like this year.

PS4-18 million

3DS-8 million

XB1-10.5 million

Wii U-3 million

Vita-1.5 million

For next year I am thinking:

PS4 - 18.5 Million

3DS - 7.5 Million

XB1 - 9.5 Million

Wii U - 2 Million

Vita - 1.5 Million

PS4: 20 millions - I think it will increase quite a lot and I would not be surprised to see it landing at 35m by the end of 2015 in total sales. It's clearly on a momentum here and will be the highest selling console this generation, clearly no doubt about that. There seems to be many games coming that will keep it even more attractive to the consumer, it will however not see any Wii numbers.

X1: 10 millions - I think it will go up from 7m this year to around 10m in 2015, so a total of around 20 by the end of 2015. I think that the pricecut will stay in one way or another, and the X1 is successful even though people would like to think otherwise. So I think it will rise a bit next year in sales, even if it doesn't get any big titles.

Wii U: 5 millions - I know that most will call me "too optimistic", or even use a less appropriate word, but I think(and hope) that it will increase in sales, but not by a larger margin than stated. So a total of 14m by the end of 2015. There must be a pricecut around the corner, and with the PS3/X360 pretty much gone from the picture next year I believe that it will gain some market from that, but to a lesser degree than its comepetition.

Nintendo New 3DS and its exclusives (Xenoblade being biggest so far), price drops for older models (I believe a $30-50 drop apiece should reel in firesale-chasers), and a stronger line-up of games in 2015.

Well, I'm still doubting that line-up, but I expect more announcements next year. They already have Q1 and Q2 releases lined up in there, after all.

So, it will sell 1.5-2 million in the next 2 weeks?

The New 3DS didn't help the decline in Japan so what makes you think it will in EU/NA? 2014 was a better line-up as well sales-wise.

I have no idea, either. New 3DS will probably keep the baseline steady in Japan, though. This is barring another consumption tax hike and further stagnation in their economy.

Majora's Mask 3D would be big...if OoT 3D hadn't released before it. I hear Code Name STEAM has N3DS-exclusive features, but I don't think it'll do too hot. Etrian Mystery Dungeon, and a couple more JRPGs to get localized round it up. Not much, really. Well, you still have Monster hunter 4U. N3DS-seller there.

I've been hearing lots of advice over the internet lately to stay very well away from the 3DS until the N3DS is released, too, but it shouldn't affect sales a lot.

EU is the one market Nintendo has to milk next year for optimal results.

PS4 - 19.9m
XB1 - 10.2m
Wii U - 2.9m
3DS - 7.6m
Vita - 1.3m

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287
