Nice to see PS4 going up and XB1 going down. With the amazing Walmart deal and some good Best Buy deals near christmas it wouldn't be too surprising for PS4 to outsell XB1 on Christmas week.

Microsoft decided not to make any profit off Xbox One this holiday by slashing prices and giving away free games. That's what happened.

It makes perfect sense. People aren't rushign out to buy it anymore since these low prices are now expected. People who wanted an XB1 already bought one in the past 2 months. Those are the people that were on the fence and the "temporary" price cuts and bundles forced their hand.
It's now near Xmas. Most people have bought their presents. Stock is plentiful. Price isn't as big an advantage for XB1 anymore. For example Best Buy is selling the PS4 White Destiny bundle for $350 while Walmart was selling the PS4 for $329.99.
Basically, the Xbox One got a HUGE boost in early November because of that price cut and those bundles with free games. It's now returning to "normal" sales levels for the holiday period and will most likely end up behind the PS4 in January once they bring the price back up to $399.

Very true. Of course, like I said before, after adjustments it very well could be proven wrong. So really, no point in giving him any kind of credibility when most of his predictions are just nuts.

Holiday promotions, primarely the XB1 being cheaper. $350 vs $400 in the US.

You know this gen is front-loaded. You've said it yourself several times. Similar comparisons for both consoles are... pointless.

Wouldn't you want both consoles (And the Wii U) to succeed so that we actually have some competition around here which will ultimately only end up benifiting the consumer.

That was the dragon quest heroes bundle. A one time boost and not a sign of anything in particular, other than when the game actually launches there won't be as big a hardware boost because it already happened.
Interesting that without this japan boost Ps4 would also be down week on week.
