Duhh.

Why would the PS4 need to have a price drop in 2015? The PS4 can and WILL not lose at $399 in 2015.

A more daring and discussable prediction would be you saying tha PS4 couldn't lose in America in 2015

Not losing US is a done deal as well.

The even more daring prediction would be not losing in US in November.

You think so? I don't.

Microsoft is either going to officially drop the price of the Xbox One to $299 or they will simply do a temporary price drop again like they did this year.

They also have Halo 5 releasing which is a game that can break like 6-7 million on Xbox in America ALONE! The PS4 never really had its own franchise that can do that on its own. The highest PS 's have been able to push in America was logically about 3 mill.

Also, Xbox has Tomb Raider 2 to itself this holiday season so it's going to negate atleast about half of what Uncharted 4 will do for PS4. So idk

I never understood how the TR exclusivity was such a big deal. It won't sway many people who didn't already want to buy a X1 because they know it will come to other platforms later. I mean are there really people who by consoles for TR?

Yes, Halo is big and it should easily win X1 the month it releases. But think of the ground PS4 will make in the first half of the year. And then there is Uncharted at the end of the year.

There was once a time I believed Halo will make everything good again in US but seeing how PS4 sells without games or pricedrops is shaking my beliefs. I don't think it will be able to make up for the growing gap from the rest of the year.

so, I agree

Playstation 4

1st Party games - increases PS4's lead
3rd Party games - increases PS4's lead

Xbox One

1st Party games - decreases PS4's lead.

No way Xbox One gains market share. No way.

Man Destiny was huge for PS4.
Sony did very well to use it as if it were a 1st party game

And more to come next year as well xD

Yeah, it did incredible!

A LOT more to come, if this trend continues, PS4 will definitely increase its market share against Xbox One.

Metal Gear Solid 5 will probably be a big win for PS4.
Final Fantasy 15 I think will be a huge win like Destiny, possibly even bigger.

MGS V and FF XV are also the ones I think about first!

This year, it was a battle of PS4 winning January - October vs. X1 winning November & likely, December. The fact that the PS4 will win the US for 2014 without official pricedrops, (as many) insane deals, and slightly underwhelming library is incredible.

2015 will be an entirely different story. This time, the PS4 will have a vaunted lineup with games that appeal to gamers of wide varieties of tastes. Yes, Halo is huge and moneyhatting Tomb Raider was undoubtedly big. However, these two games alone can't make up for the countless games the PS4 will be getting that won't be on the X1. Sony also has a $100 pricecut saved in its back pocket. Microsoft can't use the same strategy from this holiday season again because the price can only come down so much.

FIFA will also be a good win for the PS4 every year.

The ones like COD, Batman and AC should do close numbers to both.

Of course :)

Actually, I expect Batman: Arkham Knight to sell 200-300k more PS4's, than Xbox One.

PS4 has the marketing right for the game, so you will 100% see bundles, also the game is "current gen" only, so people will likely buy a PS4 bundle of the game I could imagine :)
