Yes. they already claimed to be different when they were really just lacking compared to the other two. or claimed to be suprior when they were "different"

Holy shit that is amazing. Nintendo is deciding what is fun for me and what is not!

Welp guess that settles the fact that I'll never own a Nintendo system in the future lol. Very simple minded.

yeah its pretty outsanding how much nonesense they can make at times. if you think thats shitty look at this, supposedly nintendo didnt add cross game chat to WiiU because they "wanted to be different" and not copy xbox live.

i dont know whats worse, if nintendo didnt add cross game chat, a simple feature, because they dont want to spend money on adding it, or because they actually believe their own shit by saying they want to be "different" (which is just LACKING).

"He went on to say that initiatives like Mario Kart 8's Mario Kart TV where a much better option,"

He justifies the lack of twitch streaming by.... mario kart tv. claiming its a better option. lol.

This claim that "MKTV is a better option" is different than claiming "Nintendo is superior" per your original post.

No, they (Nintendo) will claim they are different just for the sake of being so, claim superiority for being "different"

grr... what? they claimed mario kart tv was a better option than having twitch support. superior means better.

and another example of nintendo claiming to be different when they are just lacking.

Again, this claim is different than the one you originally posted. Read above again. You understand the two statements are different surely?

I don't disagree with you that Nintendo is lacking.

They're not deciding anything for you: you are perfectly free to choose what you buy and they are open about there being no streaming feature on their console.

"VR" is a fad, that adds absolutely nothing to the actual gaming experience, just like 3D is, just like motion controls were. So I'd say no.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Not yet.

"For us, it's all about fun gameplay," Fils-Aime said at E3 according to the Associated Press. "That's what we want. We want a fun, compelling experience. Right now, the technology isn't quite there yet, in our view.”

However, Fils-Aime didn’t rule out the possibility that Nintendo will experiment with VR if and when Nintendo deems it worthwhile.

“Certainly, it's something we're looking at,” he said. “We look at a wide range of technologies. When it's there and enables a fun experience, we'll be there, too."

This

I'll third this. It's going to be uncomfortable for extended play periods, the cost will probably not justify the experience, and to get a true VR experience you're also going to have to buy other periferals (like Kinect or the PSmove), and EVEN THEN there isn't going to be any AAA games that are going to come out in any steady flow if there is any at all.

Should Nintendo be envious of VR headsets? No.

Should they utilize Sharp's free form LCD display into the next touch screen controller for the next home console? Absolutely.

VR Headsets with THIS-GEN Consoles? PS4 and XOne are far too underpowered to deliver anything beyond some basics functionality.

Even worse: if Sony and Microsoft are releasing headsets (IF - Sony didn't give any release date or price for morpheus yet - and there is a reason for that) - then these will only promote better solutions on the PC side like Oculus etc. . Of course the PC has to be a high-end PC. But these rigs will fall in price rapidly while the PS4 and XOne will still miss the CPU & GPU power in the years to come every more.
