I'll third this. It's going to be uncomfortable for extended play periods, the cost will probably not justify the experience, and to get a true VR experience you're also going to have to buy other periferals (like Kinect or the PSmove), and EVEN THEN there isn't going to be any AAA games that are going to come out in any steady flow if there is any at all.

Should Nintendo be envious of VR headsets? No.

Should they utilize Sharp's free form LCD display into the next touch screen controller for the next home console? Absolutely.
