Forums - Nintendo - Will Nintendo have VR Headset Envy when Sony and Microsoft rolls out with theirs?

i honestly don't see a lot of people spending money for VR to be honest...

heck they are already paying $800 for their phones i dont think they will pull $1000 to pay for VR...

unless financing to play video game will be the next big thing

1000 ? well if you have a PC the goggles themselfs cost 300-400. VR is hard to understand but once you tried it and achieved presence you will get it. It feels kinda like beaming to another dimension if the VR is good enough. The potential for a device that can convince you of being somewhere else is huge. VR is not just a games thing it will change the world.

VR, to me, looks like a big inconvenience for most people. Specially since how awkward it looks and I doubt the price of it which is essentially ps4/x1 + VR will really want to make everyone jump on board asap. One of the reasons why the wii was so successful was cause how "seamless" it really was and how affordable it was which VR doesn't have.

But only time will tell though! I might be getting one when more prawn games make use of it and its released to public

And in terms of Nintendo being envy of it, idk just yet cause I think it will be based on the success of VR

And what if Artificial Academy 2 gets VR support? XD

If the current management is still in charge? No, they will claim they are different just for the sake of being so, claim superiority for being "different" (even though right term would be "lacking". And go on to brag about how they innovate.

I'm detecting some animosity.

I'd rather Nintendo just focus on software.

They are?

I don't think VR will take off except for PC, so Nintendo should be fine doing their own thing/weird alternative.

VR + horror games = soiled pants

In this regard I can see some application

Only if it sells well.
