So looks Nintendo post this in the facebook

Wii U IMO continues to suffer from a general messaging problem about its brand and continues to confuse consumers. Thoughts?

Yea they should have done the some marketing shit they are doing now back when the wiiU launched! At least its better than nothing though

No. It doesn't suffer from that as hard as the first year, but it's too late to solve it now. People that are informed about gaming knew the WiiU already. Casuals are not interested in the wii brand anymore,and parents buying consoles for their children probably prefer a cheap wii with two bundled games over the new WiiU.

They don't even have a central Wii U facebook profile. There are dozens of them with all different unoffical names like Wii U Uk. Whereas the Wii, or ps4 for example, have specific pages named "playstation" and "playstation 4".  I noticed that they have a Wii U page up there recently therugh the wikipedia thing, but it's not official, nor does it advertise/promote.

More people are aware of what the U is now, but yes, they deisgned it for the Japanese culture whereas westerners are used to it just being 1,2,3,4. I also think the xbox ones name hurt sales.

I see the page you got it from is called Nintendo console gaming. It sounds like something from the 80's.

The fact that "Play Nintendo Games" is not on that list left me dissatisfied.

Also that the eshop is not cluttered with pesky AAA 3rd party games.
