Tell you the truth, I was gonna get a PS4 regardless. I know what I'm getting with Playstation. Great games across a spectrum of genres, and only on the Playstation 4 platform, so those experiences will be tailor made for that console. And I'll still be able to enjoy the console, well into the release of the subsequent console. And the "support" won't be just be cross gen games with the new generation (looking at you, Forza Horizon, Titanfall, Tomb Raider, etc). They'll be "PS4 games" (like how PS3 is still getting games that are made only for PS3, even after PS4s release). It happened with PS1, it happened with PS2, it happened with PS3. Why wouldn't it happen with PS4? Especially with how widely successful and popular it's been since Day 1.

Best 1st party support bar none.

Sony covers every genre in spades.

All of the 3rd party support plus a complete mobile game support in the PS Vita Cross Buy.

Plus the knowledge of knowing that brand new IP's will be released in its lifespan........

Sony has always come through, and so far they have come through with the ps4, now can't wait till 2015.

Sony had enough games that I wanted to buy for it. Simple as that. It use to be the media functions. Since Sony dropped that with the PS4. I just bought a BD player and stopped caring about that.

Because it has the exclusives I want + brand loyalty to some extend I guess

Because Nintendo releases games at a slower rate than it takes for diamonds to form.

Microsoft went all DRM and sending out half complete games to retail and requiring huge downloads to get the rest.

First party games that are not always FPS but with a nice variety, very strong third party support and anime games.

Variety and Japan Support
Games like Persona,Disgaea and better Version of all the games(which aren't on PC) im interested in are exclusive to Playstation(4)

The track record of exclusives through the previous 3 gens.  But I also bought a Vita and X1.

GTA5 and the last of us remastered

I got approved for a gamestop credit card which has financing on console purchases over six months, so I only need to pay around 70$ a month, which is great.
I want to play PT, evil within, metal gear solid, and all those delicious indies.
