This will be the Xbox 360's biggest price drop. Last time only one SKU got a $50 drop, but this time it will be all three.

That bet only covers NA, so these rumors are irrelevant.

I don't know about that. I bet that giving away the system for free would boost their weekly sales past Wii and PS3 combined in Japan almost instantly. Oh, wait... you meant there's nothing *realistic* they can do... 
I wonder if this will help the 360 actually start moving some units in Europe or if the Watchdog reports and the like (about the 360 quality problems and MS' lack of support for it) have been too big of an issue there.

I don't see how this is a bad move. Sony could drop their price at any time, regardless what MS does. I see this as a way to get a bump in Other sales *before* GTA hits.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
