I can see this generation lasting about as long as the last one especially since the jump from 8th to 9th gen will probably be even smaller than the jump from 7th to 8th. I would expect 2019 at the earliest but 2020 is quite possible too.

2018. PS4 will reach the under 200 dollars price tag faster than PS3 and that will cut short this generation for sony. So 5 years is my guess.

In late 2018 or early 2019 we'll get a cloud based console.

This kinda logic makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Using how quickly a console gets to sub $200 as a marker for when their next console is released? Do you even know what the whole point of consoles are? And how much sony, ms or nintendo would love to have at least 3-4yrs on the market selling a sub $200 console and what that means for them?

the next console PS5 should have cloud consoling. I dont think that the most gamers like that

Their current home platform should last for 10 years so I would imagine a successor by 2023 ...

2019/2020 sounds about right to me.
