That's so stupid, people are so ignorant.

I'm not sure which post you're refering to, but I agree with your assessment of 20 m PS3s by early 2009.

Nixon did a lot of really great things as president which are overshadowed by his paranoia-fueled abuses of power.

Bush's presidency has been marked by one failure after another and the only things his administration has been really good at are abusing power, flaunting laws up to and including the U.S. Constitution, dodging blame, and cutting taxes.

Frankly I'd prefer Nixon, by a mile. But to claim that he somehow didn't know about all the crap that was going on, much of it as a direct result of his orders ... well, let's just say your grasp of American history is shaky at best.

Any sort of facts to back up your speculation/assertions/conspiracy-theories?  I'm open to new ideas and information as long you don't require me to wear a tin-foil hat.

^^ I like the ability to protest, but that they've done is just childish. What if a town in Texas had passed an ordinance stating that Bill Clinton would be arrested if he crossed into the city limits? It's a ridiculous demonstration of arrogance, i.e. - regardless what the majority of Americans decide, we as a single town will decide who is or isn't a legitimate leader of the country, and we will act solely as his judge and jury regarding the performance of his duties.

Why Bill Clinton in Texas? And its hardly fair to compare him just because he was a liberal. Bush is by far the worst president in history. America has gone from a golden age to a depression all under his command, while we entered a war for WMD's where none were to be found. We INVADED a country, killed innocent people, removed a leader from power(which is illegal), tortured detainee's without a trial(which is illegal), Americans are getting dumber and dumber every year, the dollar is shit poor, and our country is more divided than ever.

Im sorry, Bush gets no respect and just because a man wins an election doesn't mean he deserves respect. They can act however they choose because its what its population voted for. Arrogance is when you go against the world's will and invade a country while lying to the American people, then drag on the war for years just to protect your image.

LOL!  Well, we all have the right to our own opinions, but you could at least try to make somewhat plausible arguments:

1. It's difficult to have a "depression" when unemployment is well below 10 percent.  I don't know who gets to decide what an economic "golden age" is... would that be before or after Clinton signed NAFTA, which made it easier to move factories to Mexico?  Ooooo, wait... that was a bad thing that Bill did... it doesn't count.  Sorry, I forgot to adhere to the "double-standard" rule.

2. We invaded a country, Germany, in WWII, killed innocent people, and forced the German government to submit to other nations.  And Bill Clinton sent us overseas to be a police force for the world in Kosovo.  Please try again.

3. Worst president in history?  I don't know, I think Carter was pretty bad.  I can remember going to the unemployment office near the end of his presidency when inflation AND unemployment were both over 10 percent.  Make Bush and Clinton seem like geniouses in comparison.  Add to that the fact that Mr. Carter's family openly takes advantage of the federal law which limits farming of peanuts to "select" families... gee, I guess he's not such a grand fellow, either.

4. It isn't Bush that we need to respect, it's the office of the President.  If every time we have a beef with our president we call for his head, then the idea of "We the People" as the government weakens.  If I don't like your choice for president and I think he should be impeached, regardless what is decided by others, that doesn't give the right to spit in the face of others by calling for the arrest of that leader.  I didn't like Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton in a lot of ways, but I would never have advocated they be arrested by some town of morons who think they know what's best for the rest of us.

5. Lying to the American people, blah, blah, blah.  Too bad the Congress voted for the war, including Hillary and other liberals, after seeing the same CIA evidence that Bush saw.  Oooo, wait... I forgot... can't hold liberals to the same standard... sorry.

I suggest doing a little research before tossing around words like "depression" without actually knowing what they mean.

So let's just stop all the blatant speculation by the majority of the American Public and the worldview of other people and say that Bush that is a better president than Clinton was!

Get the hell out of here, I'm a blue-collar working class American and despite all of Clintons short coming on paper. I can remember the dollar being strong when he was in office, college being moderately affordable without having to have parents to refinance their housing, and opening the classified section in various news paper and media outlest and *gasp* seeing a plethora of actual professional jobs, not tele-marketing, or custodian minium wage stinkers (not that there is a thing wrong with them), and  a lot less empty luxuries.

I'm not going to argue who did what in office, but my general experiences.  And as a working adult, from where I was standing the country was LOADS better when Clinton was in office.  He actually talked about stuff like the economy vs. playing the "americans are scared of terrorist card"

I'm not saying that he didn't do bad things, and I'm aware of a lot of the secret shady dealings during his admin.  But like I said I'm speaking about my personal experience under both regimes.  And I know there are quite a few Americans in different walks of life that agree with me.

I mean just look at the change of the dollar from his 8 year tenure to now?  Sure you can say a lot of the things he did put the demise of the dollars value into place, but uh when the man left office there was a surplus of money there, the most in our nations history that some how vanished in a year or two under the new presidency?

Wow, say what you will about Clinton, but if I could've voted for him 2 more terms he would've had my vote.

www.talkxbox.com - It is what it is!

I heard about this from a workmate. I wonder if this is serious and will make national headlines... :[

How can anyone explain this one phrase? Liberalism is a mental disorder... It is that simple. They keep trying the same tactics and expecting different results - the definition of insanity.

There are so many factors in the economy that has changed it in the last 8 years than just a transfer of administrations. I think you forget that Clinton was riding the Internet boom, which is why we had such a rising economy. It was in fact falling by the time he left office. Then you forget a thing called 9/11, which completely hurt our nation, mentally and economically. And what about the wars? Any war will drain any excess money, especially two very costly wars completely funded by the US. But jeez, I mean it must be Bush. I mean he has control of everything in the nation, Congress, economy and other nations. I mean I bet he made the Euro rise sooooo much to completely destroy the Dollar and avoid many further investments in the dollar. He must be to blame!!!!

And dangit Bush! You caused Hurricane Katrina! Even though the Governor of Louisiana dropped the ball and didnt request federal aid, but man you should know when to step out of your boundaries and do everything for everyone! Cmon Bush!

Yes lets impeach Bush! I mean even though he hasnt done anything illegal or anything, just because he is so unpopular!!! Impeach him!!!

Someone needs to pick up a history book before spouting off such inane opinions.

Worst president in history? His term isn't even over. We won't know the true repercussions of his term(s) until long after they are over.

A depression? This country isn't anywhere close to a depression.

BTW, who declared it "illegal" to remove another leader from power? Did I miss that email?

If you want to talk about terrible presidents, it's not that hard to look back just a few years at LBJ, Harding, or Hoover and then you'll see a country that really went to hell in a handbasket during a presidency.

Using your logic, Nixon was probably the second worst president in history, despite the fact that he actually accomplished a lot of good things during his tenure that are completely overshadowed by one incredibly stupid coverup and his unpopularity at the time.

Let's not forget that during Clinton's administration a recession started,
Clinton had an illegal war in Bosnia, one that killed innocent people and disposed a dictator, and didn't even have approval of congress but instead circumvented it by using US nato forces to enter into a non-nato nation,
Clinton also repeated bombed the snot out of Iraq under the pretense of the presence of weapons of mass destruction, so basically the current Iraq war is little more than extension of his bombing runs
The current unemployment rate is the same as the average under Clinton,
Bush admin is doing nothing about Darfur, guess what Clinton did about Rawanda? oh right nothing.
Clinton fell backward into the internet boom so basically the economy was pure luck at the time, not that the president has any control over the economy anyway, I'll give you a hint at who actually is (the person sitting reading this post)
Clinton allowed numerous Oil and Telecommunication mergers under his administration, but at least he tried to protect us from big bad microsoft.
there are more crumby thing about Clinton but they are too many to enumerate, the point is Clinton sucks just as much as Bush, the only difference is Celebrities and left wing activists didn't care about his failings,
and for the record if you look at Presidents Nixon was probably one of the best but people hate him for really no reason except the audacity to spy on the democrats and his "enemies list" which all indications point to that he didn't even no about it.
1. Nixon opened relations with China, really weakening the Soviet's position in the cold war, which helped to enforce detente
2.Hanoi would have surrendered eventually under his tactics, well I guess commy sympathizers wouldn't like either of those
3. Worthwhile and actually effective environmental acts like Superfund were under Nixon, but Environmentalists like things that control peoples lives not actually get things done
4. The actual enforcement of Brown v Board was under Nixon,
5. Nixon actually proposed enacting a law forcing all employers to provide health care insurance and make a sliding scale government provided health care insurance, what made this different is that the state didn't control all health care, but it still created a forum in which health care
Nixon did a lot of really great things as president which are overshadowed by his paranoia-fueled abuses of power.

I said Nixon wasn't aware of his enemy list, and to say my knowledge of american history is shakey is plain is foolish, I know history and I know it well and Nixon did far more good than his enemies' list and water gate could ever account for,

and to say Bush is without any accomplishments shows that your knowledge of American history isn't perfect, The War in Afganistan destroyed the taliban, but it is overshadowed by the secritarian violence in Iraq; However, the war in Iraq did expose the high levels of curruption in the U.N. Oil for food program, this really should have raised question about the UNs lack of resolve of enforcing their own resolutions against Hussien and his notorius indifference to the weapons inspectors, has been involved with expansion of NATO, numerous efforts to combat identity theft and piracy, he has accomplishments but they are downplayed and overshadowed

Is he a good president? no, is he the worst? no, he isn't that either

Eh, the Taliban is gone... but warlords now control most of Afghanistan. Quality of life there is actually worse then before we went in right now.

Also there are about 5-6 presidents worse then Bush.  He's going to rank below the guy who died in 30 days when historical scholars rule in on it.

warlords always had a whole lot of control and influence in Afganistan, just look at the national road structure, it didn't exist, same with rail ways, nothing like anarchy as a foundation for tyranny, and I doubt the quality of life is any worse, you can just hear about it now; however they are finally managing to build infrastructure and organized law enforcement forces, the quality of life will improve,

as far as 5 or 6 worse than bush.... yeah that sounds about right,

though I don't really think William Henry Harrison can be ranked at all as he fell ill on the night of his inaugaration, seriously how could the guy be described? he spent a lot of time sick and then he died?
