4570 or 4570k? If regular thats the only thing I'd of changed in that set up. For practically the same price you could of gotten the K version which would have given you plenty of headroom for overclocking if or when you wanted/needed to. Nice though!

That sounds reasonable I guess.

As soon as Nvidia dares to release big Maxwell I will get a new rig too. Gonna post it here as well if I'm not permabanned by then.

Well 4570k was over 200 euros in my country (Latvia) while mine cost around 160. I don't OC and games can't use more than 4460 anyway. And seeing how relatively weak the new consoles are CPU wise I don't see use for any more CPU power.

That's a whole lot of misconception there. Consoles have a very low level API which unburdens the CPU substantially. That's why PC CPUs need to be strong. Not talking uber i7 strong but they need some punch. My 3570k goes up to over 85% when I'm playing DAI and it is  quite a bit more powerful than anything in the consoles. Something like a 4460 is certainly not futureproof for this gen. And there will be a lot of highly unoptimized PC ports that will make the CPUs their bitch.

The new consoles have PC architecture. PC ports will be unoptimized only if the console versions are unoptimized. But devs and engines have gone long way during the last gen and PC ports are usually great now.

I guess you haven't played yet DAI, ACU or FC4 on PC yet. Consoles are closer to PC architectures but they're still no PCs and developers have to put in some effort if they're porting. Some do, a lot won't.

Mantle and DX12 will help with that.
