For a comparation: XBOX ONE ship 100K (don't know the number sold to consumer)

Well, do we have confirmation on how much Sony will ship for launch?

There are two factors that will effect sales:
1. Price
2. Region Lock Circumvention

Bonus
3. Decent Launch Games.

Not enough info available yet to make any kind of judgement really as to how well it will sell out of the gate. As the poster mentioned above, until more details are made known, you can't possibly have a guess.

No but there is a fascinating caveat here.  The first is really strange as it implies that the Chinese government must approve shipment levels on and incremental basis. Second is that PS4s are natually assembled in China... so the idea of 'shipment' is strange at best as it means taking them from the factory to a store via truck (so no real supply/stocking constraint).  What we are probably going to see is a situation where they send to retailers exactly what they can presell plus a few extra.  So... seems like the next round of preorder tracking starts tomorrow.  

If we start to see sellouts on preorders, we may be able to predict the minimum they are going to ship at launch.  If it doesn't sellout, there is probably no way to predict until SMG makes some sort of announcement like they did with Xbox One.

In the other thread I said 200k and I'll keep my bet.

175k seems fair.

It will not far from Xbox i guess, the company who brought PS4 is the same company who brought Xbox one, they maybe have the same shipped number.

prob as much as the Communese government lets them. I say 200K, then it gets replicated/modded and sold on the black market with a bunch of games on the hard drive and numbers never get as high again.
