Whether it's the peak year comes down to other factors I think.  This year Nintendo had to make up for the first part being absolutely abysmal.  They also had to turn profit.  Nintendo couldn't go all suicidal with ther pricecuts and bundles like MS (who will probably not make a penny this year from the Xbox division this year and the Xbox division probably won't make up for said losses next year either).  Next year they can play a bit more lose with that; I predict a price drop by the summer and a smash bundle early in 2015 probably to accompany it.  Baseline should be higher etc.  But it really comes down to other factors like marketing and so on.  Plus some of the games in 2015 do target a different demographic from the games currently released, so that could help.  It will be an interesting year.  The high attachrate for the current library is good for Nintendo though in terms of profits. 

You have to keep in mind that NPD takes away sales if a game is returned.

ps4 is only the fast selling console shipped wise until end of september 2014 (as far as we know)
sold through wii could still be ahead, because the demand was higher than supply even at the second holiday season for the wii

and the other numbers are offical sony shipped and sold through numbers

driveclub sold mostly in the EU and it's digital sales are strong. Not surprise by  the overtracking on here and that's last months news just so you know. 

GTA 5 and The Last of US sold 340k copies from the bundle alone. Meaning both games are under tracked on here by a good bit for November. 

I am pretty sure Shawn Layden said "fastest selling console of all-time" not shipped.

vgc has it at 1.2m. thats overtracked by nearly 300k
the last of us is 240k according to chartz, to about 100k undertracked
