Nintendo couldn't go all suicidal with ther pricecuts and bundles like MS (who will probably not make a penny this year from the Xbox division this year and the Xbox division probably won't make up for said losses next year either). Next year they can play a bit more lose with that; I predict a price drop by the summer and a smash bundle early in 2015 probably to accompany it. Baseline should be higher etc. But it really comes down to other factors like marketing and so on. Plus some of the games in 2015 do target a different demographic from the games currently released, so that could help. It will be an interesting year. The high attachrate for the current library is good for Nintendo though in terms of profits. |
well said. the fact most of the software sales are for nintendo games really is that companies saving grace.
