This month has been crazy lol.

Numbers floating around are 1.2 - 1.24 M for Xbone
800K - 895K for PS4

LTD gap is ~730K, so a ~370K win for XBone this month. That's significant.

Hard to know how this affects December in the USA. I suspect it should be a bit closer, but still likely a XB one win by a few hundred K.


Xb1 does not have the early boost advantage for December
But Ps4 also don't have the 399 Black Friday bundle advantage


So imho it could be either way. bigger or smaller gap (percentage wise and as flat number)
Now we know, why Sony is doing the 1 free download game promation. They don't want to lose the wohole sales advantage of one year in just 2 month


X1 is doing a free game promotion too.

You know, I could be wrong, but I don't think Cboat should have been banned. I know he said 7-10K difference, but I believe someone's previous reasoning that maybe he he was referring to 710K LTD difference. I mean, Cboat has never just come out and said something, as far as I remember, anyway. He always seemed to have a funny way of writing things, basically so he wouldn't get caught. I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong and he was just fucking with us.

Europe is constantly very undertracked here.
It may sound crazy, but all that gap can be coming from Europe, even if USA needs to be adjusted down.

PS4 is a very hard thing to keep track of, it's so successful in so many places.

Still, I am having a hard time taking VGC serious lately - adjusting PS4 down 400-500k in 3 weeks is not acceptable nor credible.

You're asking the wrong fans, I think it is the other guys that are best at downplaying.


I think you misunderstood that last line. I'm doing this all in a friendly gist, and was in no way implying anything about the MS fanbase downplaying a lot.
